The new Ferrari Roma is “the new DolceVita”

Unveiled on November 13th, 2019 the Ferrari Roma, the new Maranello coupe characterized by a #Dolcevita design style.

In June of this year we launched the new trends for design identified for the 2019/2020 (you can find them in the trendwatching page) and, you will remember, we talked exactly about Dolcevita to identify that kind of elegant aesthetics that take inspiration from the 50s / 60s.

This is where the style of the new Ferrari Roma comes from, as declared by the historic car manufacturer from Emilia Romagna

With its distinctive flair and style, the car is a contemporary representation of the carefree, pleasurable way of life that characterised Rome in the 1950s and ‘60s. The Ferrari Roma offers discerning clients the finesse and refinement that brings the concept of “la Dolce Vita” right up to date.

Ferrari Roma: an original design

In the new Ferrari Roma, design and stylistic elements are creating a bit of discussion among the ferraristi. The style is completely new and break with the recent past of the Cavallino, so much so that it was decided to create a kind of “clean” elegance without frills. Suffice it to say that the Ferrari Scudetto was given up with the typical Cavallino on the wheel arch, applicable only on direct request.

A small turning point, therefore, for the Ferrari that divided the fans: there are those who accepted with enthusiasm this clean stylistic novelty in the lines, which recalls the sports car design of the 1950s; there are those who instead complain about a sort of lack of character of the new Ferrari, believing that it is a design that is too contaminated and too far from the typical Ferrari style.
